Who it's for

AI visibility for SEO & content teams

Find the questions you miss and the sources behind answers that recommend competitors.

Example, using invented brands

Your questions, not another tracking project

You need to decide what to write, update or earn a mention on. Traditional search data helps with website performance, but it does not tell you exactly how AI answers the buying questions you care about. Asking once produces a snapshot; keeping the same questions, engine coverage, source links and history takes ongoing work. Top of Answer handles that measurement workflow so your team can investigate actual answers and decide which content action deserves attention. It complements your search tools.

1. Find missing buyer questions

Start with the prompt-by-engine heatmap, then filter by topic, funnel stage or intent. See whether an engine names your brand, cites your site, does both or does neither. Suggestions include category, comparison, alternatives, problem and buying intents, with near-duplicate choices rather than automatic deletion. You can rename topic groups and move questions when your content priorities change. Keep unchanged questions for cleaner comparisons between saved checks.

2. Inspect the sources behind competitor answers

The Gaps view lists sites cited in answers that mention a competitor but not your brand. Rank the evidence by answer count, engine count and distinct competitors, then expand exact URLs and open the full answers. Review sites, community content, editorial pages and references call for different actions. Competitor-owned pages are separate from the main opportunity list. Search queries are shown where the engine shares them.

3. Link content work to later observations

Add a source gap or recommendation to My plan and mark the action done when you publish. The trend chart distinguishes your action from model changes, while before/after views focus on the linked questions. Use that evidence to decide what to do next. For crawl access, the free AI crawler check tests whether AI bots can read your site.

A workflow your team can follow

Start with your brand domain, measurement language and country. Review the buyer questions before running a check. Optional brand context records what you do, key messages and facts AI should get right. Suggestions can help you get started, but you choose the questions and can keep, replace or skip near-duplicates. Once answers are saved, explore the report and open the evidence behind a finding. Weekly tracking reuses your saved questions and settings, so each check is comparable with the last. Start with the questions your buyers actually ask. Add brand context so recommendations fit what you do. When a next step is worth doing, add it to My plan, ship it and review the answers that follow.

What it doesn't do

It isn’t a replacement for keyword-volume, backlink or analytics tools. A change after you publish shows correlation, not proof of cause, and we don’t guarantee a rank.

Questions and answers

Where an engine supplies search-query metadata, we store and show it with the saved answer. We do not invent queries for engines that do not share them.

No. Readable pages can still be absent from an answer. Crawl access and observed brand mentions are different signals.

Your first check is free: up to 10 questions on 4 AI engines, no credit card. Weekly tracking, change alerts over time and the Slack summary are available to founding members during the beta; wider access is Soon. Nobody is charged during the beta.
